For two decades, Coke Hallowell served as the President of the San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust, advocating for Central California’s longest river. She now acts as the Chairman of the Board and loves opening up the world of nature to children from all over the Valley. A child of the outdoors herself, Hallowell grew up participating in 4-H Clubs and helped to take care of her family’s horses. In addition to her work for the San Joaquin River, Hallowell taught in the Sanger Unified School District for 10 years. She lives on a cattle ranch in Madera County with her husband, James, and has two daughters, Elise and Joell.
